The father son duo behind our beloved brands Oliver Peoples and Garrett Leight California Optical have collaborated to produce a luxury line of eyewear. Mr. Leight is a collection that is high-end, sophisticated, beautiful that bridges the gap between the two iconic eyewear generations. Each frame of the 16 piece collection is beautifully designed, exquisitely detailed, and constructed with the utmost technical precision. They perfectly achieve the balance between classic and contemporary, ensuring that every wearer looks stunning when wearing timeless Mr. Leight frames.
Both father and son have dominated the eyewear industry in their respective generations. In 1987, Larry Leight founded Oliver Peoples which became one of the most recognizable names in the eyewear industry. In 2006, he sold the company to Luxottica but remained in the designer role until 2015. Garrett worked alongside his father at Oliver Peoples until 2009, and then two years later, he launched his own namesake bran.
Mr. Leight frames are made with artisanal craftsmanship, high level technical engineering and premium quality materials to form exquisite objects of desire. The frames are embellished with beautiful materials such as 18-carat gold, titanium and pearl. Each frame is meticulously handmade and finished in Japan, by craftsmen who have worked with Oliver Peoples’ designer Larry Leight for decades. Their expertise reflects in every piece; with each frame embodying both respect for tradition and innovation. It is through their unique styling, exquisite detailing and unparalleled craftsmanship that Mr. Leight differs from the other brands.
